Saying goodbye to Despina - help with funeral expenses
Despina passed away on 26 August; we're raising $2,850 for a respectful funeral in Heraklion.

Despina, my grandmother, passed away on 26 August after complications from pneumonia. She was 41 years old. She was the heart of our family and had no savings or life insurance.
The funeral home has given us a quote of $2,850 and the cemetery needs payment before the burial date of 6 September.
I have already used what I had for the hospital bills. My family is scattered, and many of us are out of work. We want Despina to have a dignified farewell.
Any help at all means a lot, and so do your prayers.
Anything left over after the funeral will be donated to the Heraklion hospice.
Where the $2,850 goes:
• Funeral home services and casket: $1,900
• Cemetery plot and burial fees: $590
• Transport of the deceased: $270
• Memorial gathering for the family: $90
