Corazon, my sister, passed away on 12 September after a sudden heart attack. She was 51 years old. She was the heart of our family and had no savings or life insurance. The funeral home has given us a quote of $750 and the cemetery needs payment before the burial date of 25 September. I have already used what I had for the hospital bills. My family is scattered, and many of us are out of work. We want Corazon to have a dignified farewell. Any help at all means a lot, and so do your prayers. Anything left over after the funeral will be donated to a local food bank. Where the $750 goes: • Transport of the deceased: $70 • Funeral home services and casket: $600 • Memorial gathering for the family: $80 I never thought I'd be the one asking, and I'm grateful for every bit of support.
