Carolina, my wife, passed away on 8 November after a road accident. She was 52 years old. She was the heart of our family and had no savings or life insurance.
The funeral home has given us a quote of $1,300 and the cemetery needs payment before the burial date of 19 November.
I have already used what I had for the hospital bills. My family is scattered, and many of us are out of work. We want Carolina to have a dignified farewell.
Any help at all means a lot, and so do your prayers.
Anything left over after the funeral will be donated to a neighborhood youth program.
Where the $1,300 goes:
• Funeral home services and casket: $780
• Cemetery plot and burial fees: $240
• Transport of the deceased: $160
• Memorial gathering for the family: $120
