Balaji, my husband, passed away on 13 June after a long fight with kidney disease. He was 90 years old. He was the heart of our family and had no savings or life insurance. The funeral home has given us a quote of $300 and the cemetery needs payment before the burial date of 25 June. I have already used what I had for the hospital bills. My family is scattered, and many of us are out of work. We want Balaji to have a dignified farewell. Any help at all means a lot, and so do your prayers. Anything left over after the funeral will be donated to a local food bank. Where the $300 goes: • Cemetery plot and burial fees: $190 • Memorial gathering for the family: $60 • Transport of the deceased: $50 Thank you so much.
