Aurora, my mother, passed away on 19 September after a sudden heart attack. She was 49 years old. She was the heart of our family and had no savings or life insurance.
The funeral home has given us a quote of $2,150 and the cemetery needs payment before the burial date of 6 October.
I have already used what I had for the hospital bills. My family is scattered, and many of us are out of work. We want Aurora to have a dignified farewell.
Any help at all means a lot, and so do your prayers.
Anything left over after the funeral will be donated to a neighborhood youth program.

• Memorial gathering for the family: $200
• Cemetery plot and burial fees: $1,750
• Transport of the deceased: $200
