Saying goodbye to Ana - help with funeral expenses
Ana passed away on 14 April; we're raising $5,650 for a respectful funeral in Houston.

Ana, my grandmother, passed away on 14 April after a road accident. She was 88 years old. She was the heart of our family and had no savings or life insurance.
The funeral home has given us a quote of $5,650 and the cemetery needs payment before the burial date of 25 April.
I have already used what I had for the hospital bills. My family is scattered, and many of us are out of work. We want Ana to have a dignified farewell.
Any help at all means a lot, and so do your prayers.
The funds will be paid directly to the funeral home, and I'll share the receipt.
Where the $5,650 goes:
• Funeral home services and casket: $4,050
• Cemetery plot and burial fees: $1,100
• Transport of the deceased: $220
• Memorial gathering for the family: $280
Even a small gift gets used right away and I'll thank you myself.

You're not alone, Carmen. Everyone deserves a bit of help sometimes. I went through something like this 4 years ago and strangers helped me out. God bless.
Is there a list of costs somewhere? Just curious how it adds up for Carmen
Everything on the list is an amount I've been quoted or invoiced. funeral home services and casket comes first ($4,050) and I'll update the page as each thing gets paid. Fair thing to want to know.
Hope it all works out, Carmen. Shared it with a few friends. God bless!
hope things get better soon, Carmen. Hope you get there. Put this on a community board in Shreveport this morning. Blessings.
wishing you peace, Carmen. I hope things turn around soon!
Your post was clear and honest. My brother had a similar thing happen so this one hit home. Thinking of Houston.
