Aarti, my sister, passed away on 15 September after a sudden heart attack. She was 29 years old. She was the heart of our family and had no savings or life insurance. The funeral home has given us a quote of $700 and the cemetery needs payment before the burial date of 5 October. I have already used what I had for the hospital bills. My family is scattered, and many of us are out of work. We want Aarti to have a dignified farewell. Any help at all means a lot, and so do your prayers. Anything left over after the funeral will be donated to a neighborhood youth program. Where the $700 goes: • Funeral home services and casket: $440 • Cemetery plot and burial fees: $250 • Transport of the deceased: $10 You're what makes this possible, and I'll never forget it. - Ritu

        • Wishing you the best, Ritu. This could happen to any of us. I told my book club about it and three of them are giving too. All the best.
