Save Ziggy: Michael can't afford the emergency vet
Ziggy, Michael's German shepherd, needs urgent treatment for pyometra costing $1,750.
🇺🇸 California, United States1,613 views
Ziggy is my German shepherd of thirteen years. On 1 September we rushed to San Diego Animal Hospital with pyometra. The vet recommends an operation to remove the blockage, and the estimate came to $1,750.
They have stabilized Ziggy, but the treatment can't wait beyond October.
Ziggy is more than a pet - Ziggy walks my kids to the bus stop every morning. I have already put $350 toward the bills and asked for a payment plan.
Whatever I can't raise, I'll repay to anyone who needs it back.
If more is raised than needed, the surplus goes to San Diego Animal Hospital's charity fund for other animals.
Where the $1,750 goes:
• Hospitalization (4 nights): $680
• Emergency surgery: $790
• Diagnostics (X-ray, bloodwork): $280

Good luck, Michael. We've got a rescue too so I know how much they mean. My husband and I read this together. Love from Pune.
