Save Ziggy: Chaminda can't afford the emergency vet
Please help Chaminda pay for Ziggy's emergency treatment at Dehiwala Veterinary Centre.
🇱🇰 Sri Lanka783 views
Ziggy is my three-legged dog of two years. On 20 May we rushed to Dehiwala Veterinary Centre with a broken leg after a road accident. The vet recommends an operation to remove the blockage, and the estimate came to $300.
They have stabilized Ziggy, but the treatment can't wait beyond August.
Ziggy is more than a pet - Ziggy is a retired therapy animal who has comforted dozens of patients. I have already put $25 toward the bills and asked for a payment plan.
Whatever I can't raise, I'll repay to anyone who needs it back.
If more is raised than needed, the surplus goes to Dehiwala Veterinary Centre's charity fund for other animals.
Where the $300 goes:
• Emergency surgery: $150
• Hospitalization (4 nights): $90
• Medication and follow-up visits: $25
• Diagnostics (X-ray, bloodwork): $35
With deep gratitude,
Chaminda
Updates from Chaminda
Thank you all. We're at 57% now ($173). I'm honestly stunned. I made the first payment toward medication and follow-up visits.
Good news. Because of your gifts ($128 in total) I met with the vet clinic and confirmed the amounts. Still a way to go but it feels less lonely.
