Save Ziggy: Andriy can't afford the emergency vet
Ziggy, Andriy's German shepherd, needs urgent treatment for bloat costing $550.
🇺🇦 Kyiv, Ukraine1,906 views
Ziggy is my German shepherd of six years. On 29 August we rushed to Kyiv Veterinary Centre with bloat. The vet recommends a hospital stay and surgery, and the estimate came to $550.
They have stabilized Ziggy, but the treatment can't wait beyond October.
Ziggy is more than a pet - Ziggy walks my kids to the bus stop every morning. I have already put $80 toward the bills and asked for a payment plan.
Whatever I can't raise, I'll repay to anyone who needs it back.
If more is raised than needed, the surplus goes to Kyiv Veterinary Centre's charity fund for other animals.
Where the $550 goes:
• Emergency surgery: $370
• Hospitalization (3 nights): $115
• Medication and follow-up visits: $30
• Diagnostics (X-ray, bloodwork): $35
Whatever you can give, even just sharing this page, means a lot.
Updates from Andriy
Thank you all. We're at 30% now ($163). I'm honestly stunned. I made the first payment toward diagnostics.
Update from Kyiv: the first invoice got paid this week. We're at 15% of the goal. Thank you for believing in us.

Thinking of you, Andriy. I've been in a tough spot myself and it does get easier. I'll check back for the next update. Greetings from Gazipur.
We've got a rescue too so I know how much they mean. My husband and I read this together. Thinking of Kyiv.
