Save Ziggy: Adjoa can't afford the emergency vet
Ziggy, Adjoa's tabby kitten, needs urgent treatment for a foreign object blocking the intestines costing $400.

Ziggy is my tabby kitten of thirteen years. On 19 March we rushed to the Accra Emergency Vet Clinic with a foreign object blocking the intestines. The vet recommends a hospital stay and surgery, and the estimate came to $400.
They have stabilized Ziggy, but the treatment can't wait beyond June.
Ziggy is more than a pet - Ziggy is a retired therapy animal who has comforted dozens of patients. I have already put $45 toward the bills and asked for a payment plan.
Whatever I can't raise, I'll repay to anyone who needs it back.
If more is raised than needed, the surplus goes to the Accra Emergency Vet Clinic's charity fund for other animals.
Where the $400 goes:
• Emergency surgery: $220
• Hospitalization (3 nights): $70
• Medication and follow-up visits: $50
• Diagnostics (X-ray, bloodwork): $60
Thank you for reading my story.

Is there a list of costs somewhere? Just curious how it adds up for Adjoa
It's all in the list in the story. emergency surgery is the big one at $220, I'll post a receipt when it's paid. Thanks for asking.
