Save Willow: Atim can't afford the emergency vet
Willow, Atim's rescue greyhound, needs urgent treatment for a foreign object blocking the intestines costing $300.

Willow is my rescue greyhound of thirteen years. On 18 September we rushed to the Mwanza Emergency Vet Clinic with a foreign object blocking the intestines. The vet recommends emergency surgery, and the estimate came to $300.
They have stabilized Willow, but the treatment can't wait beyond November.
Willow is more than a pet - Willow is a retired therapy animal who has comforted dozens of patients. I have already put $20 toward the bills and asked for a payment plan.
Whatever I can't raise, I'll repay to anyone who needs it back.
If more is raised than needed, the surplus goes to the Mwanza Emergency Vet Clinic's charity fund for other animals.
Where the $300 goes:
• Hospitalization (4 nights): $90
• Diagnostics (X-ray, bloodwork): $20
• Emergency surgery: $190
I'll keep this page updated with receipts as things happen.
