Save Teddy: Brooklyn can't afford the emergency vet

Teddy is my rescue greyhound of nine years. On 14 September we rushed to Sacramento Animal Hospital with bloat. The vet recommends a hospital stay and surgery, and the estimate came to $2,250.
They have stabilized Teddy, but the treatment can't wait beyond November.
Teddy is more than a pet - Teddy walks my kids to the bus stop every morning. I have already put $160 toward the bills and asked for a payment plan.
Whatever I can't raise, I'll repay to anyone who needs it back.
If more is raised than needed, the surplus goes to Sacramento Animal Hospital's charity fund for other animals.
Where the $2,250 goes:
• Diagnostics (X-ray, bloodwork): $165
• Emergency surgery: $1,300
• Hospitalization (2 nights): $785
