Sunny is my rescue greyhound of eleven years. On 26 August we rushed to Scranton Veterinary Centre with kidney failure. The vet recommends an operation to remove the blockage, and the estimate came to $1,350. They have stabilized Sunny, but the treatment can't wait beyond November. Sunny is more than a pet - Sunny is a retired therapy animal who has comforted dozens of patients. I have already put $300 toward the bills and asked for a payment plan. Whatever I can't raise, I'll repay to anyone who needs it back. If more is raised than needed, the surplus goes to Scranton Veterinary Centre's charity fund for other animals. Where the $1,350 goes: • Emergency surgery: $710 • Hospitalization (3 nights): $260 • Medication and follow-up visits: $220 • Diagnostics (X-ray, bloodwork): $160 I never thought I'd be the one asking, and I'm grateful for every bit of support.
