Save Sunny: Daniel can't afford the emergency vet

Sunny is my rescue greyhound of nine years. On 21 July we rushed to the Dallas Emergency Vet Clinic with a tumor on the spleen. The vet recommends emergency surgery, and the estimate came to $1,700.
They have stabilized Sunny, but the treatment can't wait beyond October.
Sunny is more than a pet - Sunny is a retired therapy animal who has comforted dozens of patients. I have already put $320 toward the bills and asked for a payment plan.
Whatever I can't raise, I'll repay to anyone who needs it back.
Funds will be paid straight to the Dallas Emergency Vet Clinic and I'll share the invoice and an update on Sunny's recovery.
Where the $1,700 goes:
• Diagnostics (X-ray, bloodwork): $340
• Emergency surgery: $880
• Hospitalization (2 nights): $480
