Save Rosie: Kavita can't afford the emergency vet
A senior cat named Rosie needs an operation to remove the blockage - a $1,550 bill the family can't cover.

Rosie is my senior cat of six years. On 13 July we rushed to Ottawa Animal Hospital with severe tick fever. The vet recommends an operation to remove the blockage, and the estimate came to $1,550.
They have stabilized Rosie, but the treatment can't wait beyond October.
Rosie is more than a pet - Rosie is a retired therapy animal who has comforted dozens of patients. I have already put $145 toward the bills and asked for a payment plan.
Whatever I can't raise, I'll repay to anyone who needs it back.
Funds will be paid straight to Ottawa Animal Hospital and I'll share the invoice and an update on Rosie's recovery.
Where the $1,550 goes:
• Emergency surgery: $940
• Medication and follow-up visits: $370
• Diagnostics (X-ray, bloodwork): $240
Please ask me anything in the questions section. I'll answer honestly and quickly.

wishing you the best, Kavita. Reading this made my day a bit heavier but I'm glad I did. Don't be hard on yourself for asking. Thinking of Ottawa!
I've been in a tough spot myself and it does get easier. Greetings from Dhaka
