Save Poppy: Kipchoge can't afford the emergency vet
Poppy, Kipchoge's German shepherd, needs urgent treatment for a foreign object blocking the intestines costing $500.
🇰🇪 Kenya600 views
Poppy is my German shepherd of six years. On 21 August we rushed to Kasarani Animal Hospital with a foreign object blocking the intestines. The vet recommends emergency surgery, and the estimate came to $500.
They have stabilized Poppy, but the treatment can't wait beyond November.
Poppy is more than a pet - Poppy walks my kids to the bus stop every morning. I have already put $50 toward the bills and asked for a payment plan.
Whatever I can't raise, I'll repay to anyone who needs it back.
Funds will be paid straight to Kasarani Animal Hospital and I'll share the invoice and an update on Poppy's recovery.
Where the $500 goes:
• Emergency surgery: $340
• Hospitalization (2 nights): $80
• Medication and follow-up visits: $30
• Diagnostics (X-ray, bloodwork): $50
Ask me anything below before you decide. I'd rather you were sure.

Hope things get better soon, Kipchoge. Gave what I could, wish it was more
Shared it with a few friends. My daughter saw me on my phone and now she wants to give her pocket money. Love from Hồ Chí Minh City.
Wishing you the best, Kipchoge. Hope you get there.
