Poppy is my cat of two years. On 7 September we rushed to the Ottawa Emergency Vet Clinic with kidney failure. The vet recommends an operation to remove the blockage, and the estimate came to $1,800. They have stabilized Poppy, but the treatment can't wait beyond November. Poppy is more than a pet - Poppy walks my kids to the bus stop every morning. I have already put $360 toward the bills and asked for a payment plan. Whatever I can't raise, I'll repay to anyone who needs it back. If more is raised than needed, the surplus goes to the Ottawa Emergency Vet Clinic's charity fund for other animals. Where the $1,800 goes: • Emergency surgery: $840 • Hospitalization (3 nights): $430 • Medication and follow-up visits: $220 • Diagnostics (X-ray, bloodwork): $310 Thanks for reading all this. - Everett
