Save Pixel: Mandla can't afford the emergency vet
Pixel, Mandla's rescue greyhound, needs urgent treatment for pyometra costing $650.

Pixel is my rescue greyhound of thirteen years. On 17 August we rushed to the Sandton Emergency Vet Clinic with pyometra. The vet recommends orthopedic surgery, and the estimate came to $650.
They have stabilized Pixel, but the treatment can't wait beyond November.
Pixel is more than a pet - Pixel is a retired therapy animal who has comforted dozens of patients. I have already put $75 toward the bills and asked for a payment plan.
Whatever I can't raise, I'll repay to anyone who needs it back.
If more is raised than needed, the surplus goes to the Sandton Emergency Vet Clinic's charity fund for other animals.
Where the $650 goes:
• Emergency surgery: $410
• Hospitalization (2 nights): $95
• Medication and follow-up visits: $50
• Diagnostics (X-ray, bloodwork): $95
