Save Pixel: Francisco can't afford the emergency vet
Pixel, Francisco's rabbit, needs urgent treatment for a tumor on the spleen costing $2,350.

Pixel is my rabbit of nine years. On 17 August we rushed to Yonkers Veterinary Centre with a tumor on the spleen. The vet recommends a hospital stay and surgery, and the estimate came to $2,350.
They have stabilized Pixel, but the treatment can't wait beyond October.
Pixel is more than a pet - Pixel walks my kids to the bus stop every morning. I have already put $130 toward the bills and asked for a payment plan.
Whatever I can't raise, I'll repay to anyone who needs it back.
If more is raised than needed, the surplus goes to Yonkers Veterinary Centre's charity fund for other animals.
Where the $2,350 goes:
• Emergency surgery: $1,700
• Hospitalization (4 nights): $380
• Medication and follow-up visits: $115
• Diagnostics (X-ray, bloodwork): $155

Everything on the list is an amount I've been quoted or invoiced. emergency surgery comes first ($1,700) and I'll update the page as each thing gets paid. Fair thing to want to know.
