Save Pixel: Anderson can't afford the emergency vet
Pixel, Anderson's German shepherd, needs urgent treatment for a tumor on the spleen costing $750.

Pixel is my German shepherd of six years. On 21 August we rushed to the São Paulo Emergency Vet Clinic with a tumor on the spleen. The vet recommends orthopedic surgery, and the estimate came to $750.
They have stabilized Pixel, but the treatment can't wait beyond December.
Pixel is more than a pet - Pixel is a retired therapy animal who has comforted dozens of patients. I have already put $35 toward the bills and asked for a payment plan.
Whatever I can't raise, I'll repay to anyone who needs it back.
If more is raised than needed, the surplus goes to the São Paulo Emergency Vet Clinic's charity fund for other animals.
Where the $750 goes:
• Emergency surgery: $650
• Diagnostics (X-ray, bloodwork): $75
• Medication and follow-up visits: $25
