Save Pepper: Brian can't afford the emergency vet
Pepper, Brian's senior cat, needs urgent treatment for a ruptured cruciate ligament costing $2,600.

Pepper is my senior cat of nine years. On 13 February we rushed to the San Francisco Emergency Vet Clinic with a ruptured cruciate ligament. The vet recommends a hospital stay and surgery, and the estimate came to $2,600.
They have stabilized Pepper, but the treatment can't wait beyond April.
Pepper is more than a pet - Pepper is the reason I get out of bed. I have already put $195 toward the bills and asked for a payment plan.
Whatever I can't raise, I'll repay to anyone who needs it back.
If more is raised than needed, the surplus goes to the San Francisco Emergency Vet Clinic's charity fund for other animals.
Where the $2,600 goes:
• Medication and follow-up visits: $240
• Emergency surgery: $1,800
• Hospitalization (4 nights): $560
