Pepper, Avery's three-legged dog, needs urgent treatment for severe tick fever costing $1,950.

Pepper is my three-legged dog of thirteen years. On 26 June we rushed to Arlington Veterinary Centre with severe tick fever. The vet recommends orthopedic surgery, and the estimate came to $1,950.
They have stabilized Pepper, but the treatment can't wait beyond August.
Pepper is more than a pet - Pepper got me through my hardest year. I have already put $360 toward the bills and asked for a payment plan.
Whatever I can't raise, I'll repay to anyone who needs it back.
If more is raised than needed, the surplus goes to Arlington Veterinary Centre's charity fund for other animals.
Where the $1,950 goes:
• Emergency surgery: $1,600
• Medication and follow-up visits: $165
• Diagnostics (X-ray, bloodwork): $185
