Max is my cat of six years. On 7 June we rushed to Rockford Animal Hospital with a broken leg after a road accident. The vet recommends an operation to remove the blockage, and the estimate came to $2,950.
They have stabilized Max, but the treatment can't wait beyond August.
Max is more than a pet - Max is a retired therapy animal who has comforted dozens of patients. I have already put $320 toward the bills and asked for a payment plan.
Whatever I can't raise, I'll repay to anyone who needs it back.
Funds will be paid straight to Rockford Animal Hospital and I'll share the invoice and an update on Max's recovery.
Where the $2,950 goes:
• Diagnostics (X-ray, bloodwork): $370
• Medication and follow-up visits: $350
• Emergency surgery: $2,230
