Save Max: Aubree can't afford the emergency vet
A rabbit named Max needs emergency surgery - a $2,300 bill the family can't cover.

Max is my rabbit of nine years. On 31 July we rushed to Québec Animal Hospital with severe tick fever. The vet recommends emergency surgery, and the estimate came to $2,300.
They have stabilized Max, but the treatment can't wait beyond October.
Max is more than a pet - Max is a retired therapy animal who has comforted dozens of patients. I have already put $220 toward the bills and asked for a payment plan.
Whatever I can't raise, I'll repay to anyone who needs it back.
Funds will be paid straight to Québec Animal Hospital and I'll share the invoice and an update on Max's recovery.
Where the $2,300 goes:
• Emergency surgery: $1,550
• Hospitalization (2 nights): $340
• Medication and follow-up visits: $230
• Diagnostics (X-ray, bloodwork): $180

poor Max, hope they feel better soon. Don't be hard on yourself for asking. All the best
We've got a rescue too so I know how much they mean. Thinking of Québec
Hope things get better soon. Shared it with a few friends. Greetings from Khon Kaen.
