Save Maple: Soledad can't afford the emergency vet
A German shepherd named Maple needs a hospital stay and surgery - a $750 bill the family can't cover.
🇲🇽 Mexico559 views
Maple is my German shepherd of thirteen years. On 5 July we rushed to Coyoacán Veterinary Centre with a foreign object blocking the intestines. The vet recommends a hospital stay and surgery, and the estimate came to $750.
They have stabilized Maple, but the treatment can't wait beyond September.
Maple is more than a pet - Maple is a retired therapy animal who has comforted dozens of patients. I have already put $35 toward the bills and asked for a payment plan.
Whatever I can't raise, I'll repay to anyone who needs it back.
If more is raised than needed, the surplus goes to Coyoacán Veterinary Centre's charity fund for other animals.
Where the $750 goes:
• Diagnostics (X-ray, bloodwork): $125
• Emergency surgery: $540
• Medication and follow-up visits: $85
You're what makes this possible, and I'll never forget it.

stay strong. I hope things turn around soon. Don't lose heart. A few weeks ago I was in a hole too and it changed faster than I expected.
rooting for you, Soledad. Shared this with my family. All the best
Sending strength, Soledad. Hope the recovery goes smoothly. I went through something like this 3 years ago and strangers helped me out. Greetings from Johannesburg.
Take care, Soledad. We've got a rescue too so I know how much they mean. My late mom used to say help given quietly counts double.
Poor Maple, hope they feel better soon. We had a similar scare last year, I know what it feels like. Love from Radom
