Save Maple: Inés can't afford the emergency vet

Maple is my tabby kitten of thirteen years. On 9 August we rushed to the Los Angeles Emergency Vet Clinic with a tumor on the spleen. The vet recommends orthopedic surgery, and the estimate came to $3,150. They have stabilized Maple, but the treatment can't wait beyond October. Maple is more than a pet - Maple is a retired therapy animal who has comforted dozens of patients. I have already put $165 toward the bills and asked for a payment plan. Whatever I can't raise, I'll repay to anyone who needs it back. Funds will be paid straight to the Los Angeles Emergency Vet Clinic and I'll share the invoice and an update on Maple's recovery.
