Save Luna: Vani can't afford the emergency vet
Luna, Vani's tabby kitten, needs urgent treatment for pyometra costing $1,200.

Luna is my tabby kitten of eleven years. On 23 September we rushed to the Los Angeles Emergency Vet Clinic with pyometra. The vet recommends an operation to remove the blockage, and the estimate came to $1,200.
They have stabilized Luna, but the treatment can't wait beyond December.
Luna is more than a pet - Luna is a retired therapy animal who has comforted dozens of patients. I have already put $135 toward the bills and asked for a payment plan.
Whatever I can't raise, I'll repay to anyone who needs it back.
Funds will be paid straight to the Los Angeles Emergency Vet Clinic and I'll share the invoice and an update on Luna's recovery.
Where the $1,200 goes:
• Diagnostics (X-ray, bloodwork): $210
• Medication and follow-up visits: $340
• Emergency surgery: $650

Everything on the list is an amount I've been quoted or invoiced. diagnostics (X-ray, bloodwork) comes first ($210) and I'll update the page as each thing gets paid. Good question.
