Save Ginger: Julian can't afford the emergency vet
Ginger, Julian's tabby kitten, needs urgent treatment for a foreign object blocking the intestines costing $2,000.

Ginger is my tabby kitten of thirteen years. On 15 June we rushed to San Francisco Animal Hospital with a foreign object blocking the intestines. The vet recommends an operation to remove the blockage, and the estimate came to $2,000.
They have stabilized Ginger, but the treatment can't wait beyond September.
Ginger is more than a pet - Ginger is a retired therapy animal who has comforted dozens of patients. I have already put $390 toward the bills and asked for a payment plan.
Whatever I can't raise, I'll repay to anyone who needs it back.
If more is raised than needed, the surplus goes to San Francisco Animal Hospital's charity fund for other animals.
Where the $2,000 goes:
• Emergency surgery: $1,050
• Hospitalization (2 nights): $550
• Medication and follow-up visits: $230
• Diagnostics (X-ray, bloodwork): $170

Is there a list of costs somewhere? Just curious how it adds up for Julian!
It's all in the list in the story. emergency surgery is the big one at $1,050, I'll post a receipt when it's paid. It helps to be asked.
