Save Buddy: Thabo can't afford the emergency vet
A tabby kitten named Buddy needs an operation to remove the blockage - a $200 bill the family can't cover.
🇿🇦 South Africa87 views
Buddy is my tabby kitten of two years. On 5 March we rushed to Pietermaritzburg Veterinary Centre with a tumor on the spleen. The vet recommends an operation to remove the blockage, and the estimate came to $200.
They have stabilized Buddy, but the treatment can't wait beyond April.
Buddy is more than a pet - Buddy walks my kids to the bus stop every morning. I have already put $50 toward the bills and asked for a payment plan.
Whatever I can't raise, I'll repay to anyone who needs it back.
If more is raised than needed, the surplus goes to Pietermaritzburg Veterinary Centre's charity fund for other animals.
Where the $200 goes:
• Hospitalization (4 nights): $85
• Diagnostics (X-ray, bloodwork): $80
• Medication and follow-up visits: $35
Please ask me anything in the questions section. I'll answer honestly and quickly.
