Biscuit is my rescue greyhound of three years. On 19 August we rushed to the Santos Emergency Vet Clinic with a ruptured cruciate ligament. The vet recommends orthopedic surgery, and the estimate came to $600. They have stabilized Biscuit, but the treatment can't wait beyond October. Biscuit is more than a pet - Biscuit is a retired therapy animal who has comforted dozens of patients. I have already put $60 toward the bills and asked for a payment plan. Whatever I can't raise, I'll repay to anyone who needs it back. Funds will be paid straight to the Santos Emergency Vet Clinic and I'll share the invoice and an update on Biscuit's recovery. Where the $600 goes: • Medication and follow-up visits: $70 • Hospitalization (2 nights): $230 • Emergency surgery: $300 I hope life is good to you. - Jorge

Updates from Jorge

  1. 64% there. I made the first payment toward hospitalization. Thank you.

  2. We're at 82% thanks to 9 of you. we've booked the dates and paid the deposit. More news soon.

  3. Good news. Because of your gifts ($294 in total) I met with the vet clinic and confirmed the amounts. Still a way to go but it feels less lonely.
