Sari was diagnosed with a hip fracture that never healed properly in June. The surgeon at Saint Anne Hospital recommended ACL reconstruction, and She is scheduled for September. The hospital's financial office gave us a written estimate of $2,100, and after what the public health scheme will pay we're still $1,050 short. my mother has been in and out of Saint Anne Hospital since June. The doctors say a hip fracture that never healed properly will get worse without ACL reconstruction. We have emptied our savings and borrowed from relatives, but the estimate of $2,100 is more than we can find. While we wait, Sari struggles with daily life and can't look after the children alone.
