Santos flood relief - the Northside settlement
Neighbors in the Northside settlement are rebuilding after the flood; every contribution goes to materials and supplies.

The flood hit the Northside settlement on 27 August. My home was one of 27 damaged, and 7 families are still in temporary shelter at the local school gym.
The first few days we shared what little we had. Now the cleanup has started, but we've no money for materials and winter or the rainy season is coming.
Schools in the area have been closed, and the clinic lost its cold storage for vaccines. We're a small community of working families who have never asked for help before.
We have formed a volunteer committee, and I'm the treasurer, so I'll post receipts for everything we buy.
Funds go to building materials, water purification supplies, bedding, and food for families still in shelters.
Where the $1,600 goes:
• Roofing sheets and timber: $730
• Tools and labor for repairs: $250
• Bedding, blankets and mattresses: $250
• Food parcels for displaced families: $370
Whatever you can give, even just sharing this page, means a lot.

Hope things get better soon, Caio. This could happen to any of us. Greetings from Springfield.
Sending love, Caio. Hope you get there. I went through something like this 7 years ago and strangers helped me out. All the best.
Good luck, Caio. I hope things turn around soon. After 29 years in farming I know how hard it's to ask for anything. Love from Embakasi.
Hope this works out for you. Our whole street has been following this since the weekend. Thinking of Santos
