Sani lives with multiple sclerosis. The occupational therapist at the Onitsha Rehabilitation Centre has assessed him and recommended a braille note-taker. The public scheme doesn't cover it, and the quote from the supplier is $650. His current equipment is 15 years old and keeps breaking, which has confined him to home for 7 weeks. With the right equipment Sani could attend work interviews. It would change everyday life for the whole family. We've applied to two charities already and received small contributions; this campaign covers the rest. I'll pay the supplier directly from the funds, and I'll post a photo once the equipment is delivered. Where the $650 goes: • braille note-taker: $570 • Fitting and training sessions: $30 • Delivery and set-up: $10 • First-year servicing plan: $40 Whatever you can give, even just sharing this page, means a lot.
