Sandra needs two washing machines and a dryer to reopen a laundry service
Sandra has run a laundry service for six years; a fire in the building destroyed the equipment, and $1,100 will put it back on its feet.

For six years I have run a laundry service in São Paulo. In October, a fire in the building took two washing machines and a dryer. I have no insurance, and the bank won't lend to me.
Before that, my customers came every Sunday, and I employed 2 people from the neighborhood. I have been out of business for 4 weeks.
This business pays my children's school fees and rent. I have already started working from home in small ways, but I can't meet orders without proper equipment.
Every contribution brings me closer to reopening, and I promise to post photos as I buy each item.
Once I'm back on my feet I plan to hire back the people I had to let go.
Where the $1,100 goes:
• Working capital for the first month: $195
• Initial stock: detergent and packaging: $270
• Replacing two washing machines and a dryer: $635
I'll pay this kindness forward the moment I'm able to.

So sorry you're going through this, Sandra. Shared this with my family. Take care.
Hope it all works out, Sandra. I hope things turn around soon. After 29 years in construction I know how hard it is to ask for anything.
