I live with muscular dystrophy. My occupational therapist at Siliguri General Hospital has assessed me and recommended a prosthetic leg. The public scheme doesn't cover it, and the quote from the supplier is $1,100.
My current equipment is 13 years old and keeps breaking, which has confined me to home for 12 weeks.
With the right equipment I could get to the shops and visit friends. It would change my everyday life and my ability to work from home.
We've applied to two charities already and received small contributions; this campaign covers the rest.
Funds go toward the equipment, delivery, fitting and a year of servicing.
Where the $1,100 goes:
• prosthetic leg: $1,050
• First-year servicing plan: $40
• Delivery and set-up: $10

Sure. The biggest one is prosthetic leg, $1,050. The rest is in the list at the bottom of the post and I'll upload receipts as I pay each one. Fair thing to want to know.
