Salvatore was diagnosed with a rare sarcoma in May. The oncology team at Venice University Hospital has planned 12 rounds of treatment, starting in September. He will be away from work for about 7 weeks. Salvatore is 29, worked as a tailor until May, and has always been the one who looks after everyone else. Now it's our turn to look after him. Treatment is covered only in part. Medication that isn't on the approved list, trips to Venice University Hospital 3 times a week, and the income the family has lost add up quickly. We've already sold what we could and have begun borrowing for groceries. Every kindness from you takes weight off his shoulders. Funds will be used only for treatment, medication, transport to appointments and essential living costs during treatment. Where the $7,350 goes: • Chemotherapy and medication not covered: $3,900 • Scans and lab work: $1,050 • Transport to Venice University Hospital: $680 • Nutrition and supplements prescribed by the care team: $290 • Household costs while unable to work: $1,430 Thank you so much.
