I served eight years in the army and was discharged in 2025 with chronic tinnitus. I have been waiting eleven months for support, and meanwhile I'm sleeping at my brother's place. I have a plan: a trained service dog and handler course. The quote I have comes to $5,550. I'm receiving counseling through the veterans' clinic and am committed to my recovery. Structure and a stable place to live are the missing pieces. I'd be grateful for any help and will share updates on how I'm doing. I'll post invoices, with personal details hidden. Where the $5,550 goes: • Training provider fees: $2,900 • Transport to appointments: $180 • Housing deposit and first month: $2,470 Even a small gift gets used right away and I'll thank you myself. - Salvador

Updates from Salvador

  1. Update from Vancouver: I made the first payment toward transport to appointments. We're at 85% of the goal. Thank you for believing in us.

  2. Wanted to say thank you properly. 52% funded and I met with the provider and confirmed the amounts.

  3. Small update. $1,947 so far, I met with the provider and confirmed the amounts.

Take care, Salvador. Hope you get there. My late mom used to say help given quietly counts double. Blessings.
