Salma was diagnosed with osteoarthritis in the right knee in August. The surgeon at Tiruchirappalli University Hospital recommended knee replacement surgery, and She is scheduled for November. The hospital's financial office gave us a written estimate of $1,850, and after what my employer's plan will pay we're still $1,100 short.
my daughter has been in and out of Tiruchirappalli University Hospital since August. The doctors say osteoarthritis in the right knee will get worse without knee replacement surgery. We have emptied our savings and borrowed from relatives, but the estimate of $1,850 is more than we can find.
While we wait, Salma struggles with daily life and can't drive. Her family has taken turns caring for her, and I've cut my own work hours to be there.
