Salim needs a lift to the Shubra Dialysis Unit - can you help one day a week?
Salim needs dialysis three times a week and has lost the ability to drive; volunteer drivers can each take one day.

Salim has been on dialysis for 4 years and until recently drove to the Shubra Dialysis Unit alone. After an eyesight problem, Salim can no longer drive. Taxis cost more than the family can pay three times a week.
We're building a rota of volunteer drivers. Each session is 4 hours, including the trip there and back; most volunteers take one regular day. The journey is about 18 km each way.
Salim is cheerful company. You'd need a car in good condition and a clean driving record. We'll cover your fuel costs, and the family will send you home with homemade food.
Please say which day works for you in the comments.
Glad we found this place.

so sorry you're going through this. It takes guts to ask. Well done. We lost years of savings to something like this so I get it.
Thinking of you and your family, Samir. Reading this made my day a bit heavier but I'm glad I did. My sister had a similar thing happen so this one hit home.
Hope it all works out. I've been in a tough spot myself and it does get easier. My neighbor had a similar thing happen so this one hit home!
Wishing you the best, Samir. I've been in a tough spot myself and it does get easier. Read this on the bus and kept thinking about it all day. God bless.
good luck, Samir. Gave what I could, wish it was more.
