Sachini needs a pair of hearing aids - help us make it happen
Help Sachini get a pair of hearing aids so She can get to the shops and visit friends.

Sachini lives with low vision from retinitis pigmentosa. The occupational therapist at the Negombo Rehabilitation Centre has assessed her and recommended a pair of hearing aids. The public scheme doesn't cover it, and the quote from the supplier is $1,600.
Her current equipment is 12 years old and keeps breaking, which has confined her to home for 10 weeks.
With the right equipment Sachini could get to the shops and visit friends. It would change everyday life for the whole family.
We've applied to two charities already and received small contributions; this campaign covers the rest.
I'll pay the supplier directly from the funds, and I'll post a photo once the equipment is delivered.
Where the $1,600 goes:
• pair of hearing aids: $1,500
• Fitting and training sessions: $40
• Delivery and set-up: $30
• First-year servicing plan: $30

Is there a list of costs somewhere? Just curious how it adds up for Sachini.
Pair of hearing aids is $1,500 of it. Everything else is listed in the story and nothing outside that list comes out of this page.
Stay strong, Lakmal. Shared it with a few friends. Thinking of Negombo.
