Sachiko can't leave home - help build a ramp

Help Sachiko regain independence: a simple ramp build.

Sachiko has used a wheelchair since 2023, and the house has three steps at the front door and no ramp. At the moment Sachiko can only go outside when two neighbors are available to lift the chair. The materials (treated timber, screws and non-slip surface) have been donated by a local lumberyard. We need a carpenter or two to measure, cut and build, plus a helper or two. The ramp has to meet the accessibility guideline for gradient, which is why a person with building experience is important. We estimate twelve hours of work. Tools are welcome - saws, drills, spirit levels. We'll provide refreshments, and Sachiko's family will cook lunch for the team. Whatever you can give, even just sharing this page, means a lot.

      • Thinking of you and your family. Looking forward to the next update. I'm in farming myself and wanted you to know we're cheering for you. God bless.

        • Look after yourselves too, caregivers need rest. Thinking of Kitakyushu.

Good luck. I work in healthcare and wanted you to know people are on your side. Don't be hard on yourself for asking. Love from Dresden.
