Moscow
Ruslan was diagnosed with early-stage lung cancer in April. The oncology team at the Moscow Oncology Institute has planned 10 rounds of treatment, starting in July. He will be away from work for about 10 weeks. Ruslan is 26, worked as a bank teller until April, and has always been the one who looks after everyone else. Now it's our turn to look after him. Treatment is covered only in part. Medication that isn't on the approved list, trips to the Moscow Oncology Institute 2 times a week, and the income the family has lost add up quickly. We've already sold what we could and have begun borrowing for groceries. Every kindness from you takes weight off his shoulders. Funds will be used only for treatment, medication, transport to appointments and essential living costs during treatment. Where the $2,700 goes: • Chemotherapy and medication not covered: $1,050 • Scans and lab work: $400 • Transport to the Moscow Oncology Institute: $185 • Nutrition and supplements prescribed by the care team: $280 • Household costs while unable to work: $785 Please ask me anything in the questions section. I'll answer honestly and quickly. - Larysa
