Rui needs clippers, chairs and mirrors to reopen a barbershop
A barbershop in Ottawa needs help replacing clippers, chairs and mirrors after floodwater.
🇨🇦 Ottawa, Ontario, Canada97 views
For fifteen years I have run a barbershop in Ottawa. In May, floodwater took clippers, chairs and mirrors. I have no insurance, and the bank won't lend to me.
Before that, my customers came every Friday, and I employed 1 people from the neighborhood. I have been out of business for 3 weeks.
This business pays my children's school fees and rent. I have already started working from home in small ways, but I can't meet orders without proper equipment.
Every contribution brings me closer to reopening, and I promise to post photos as I buy each item.
Once I'm back on my feet I plan to hire back the people I had to let go.
Where the $2,000 goes:
• Replacing clippers, chairs and mirrors: $1,200
• Shop repairs and licensing: $390
• Working capital for the first month: $410

hope things get better soon, Rui. Reading this made my day a bit heavier but I'm glad I did. God bless.
Thinking of you, Rui. Your post was clear and honest
Hope it all works out. Hope you make a strong comeback. We had a similar scare last year, I know what it feels like. All the best.
