Ruby's kidney cancer treatment fund
Ruby is facing kidney cancer and the cost of treatment, travel and care at home is far beyond what the family can cover.

Ruby was diagnosed with kidney cancer in March. The oncology team at the Los Angeles Oncology Institute has planned 4 rounds of treatment, starting in June. She will be away from work for about 8 weeks.
Ruby is 28, worked as a nurse until March, and has always been the one who looks after everyone else. Now it's our turn to look after her.
Treatment is covered only in part. Medication that isn't on the approved list, trips to the Los Angeles Oncology Institute 5 times a week, and the income the family has lost add up quickly.
We've already sold what we could and have begun borrowing for groceries. Every kindness from you takes weight off her shoulders.
Funds will be used only for treatment, medication, transport to appointments and essential living costs during treatment.
Where the $9,600 goes:
• Transport to the Los Angeles Oncology Institute: $690
• Chemotherapy and medication not covered: $7,000
• Household costs while unable to work: $1,910
