Rubén's hip replacement surgery can't wait - please help us cover the bill

Rubén was diagnosed with a cleft palate needing repair in June. The surgeon at Madrid Regional Medical Center recommended hip replacement surgery, and He is scheduled for September. The hospital's financial office gave us a written estimate of $3,950, and after what the government subsidy will pay we're still $3,150 short.
my father has been in and out of Madrid Regional Medical Center since June. The doctors say a cleft palate needing repair will get worse without hip replacement surgery. We have emptied our savings and borrowed from relatives, but the estimate of $3,950 is more than we can find.
While we wait, Rubén struggles with daily life and can't look after the children alone. His family has taken turns caring for him, and I've cut my own work hours to be there.
Recovery is expected to take about 3 weeks. During that time Rubén won't be able to look after the children alone, so the costs keep growing.
