Rubén's a craniotomy can't wait - please help us cover the bill
A scheduled a craniotomy in June is out of reach without help covering $1,100 of the cost.

Rubén was diagnosed with an aortic valve defect in April. The surgeon at Barranquilla Orthopedic Institute recommended a craniotomy, and He is scheduled for June. The hospital's financial office gave us a written estimate of $1,850, and after what our health plan will pay we're still $1,100 short.
my husband has been in and out of Barranquilla Orthopedic Institute since April. The doctors say an aortic valve defect will get worse without a craniotomy. We have emptied our savings and borrowed from relatives, but the estimate of $1,850 is more than we can find.
While we wait, Rubén struggles with daily life and can't look after the children alone. His family has taken turns caring for him, and I've cut my own work hours to be there.
Recovery is expected to take about 6 weeks. During that time Rubén won't be able to look after the children alone, so the costs keep growing.
