Rotimi's final semester of a computer science degree in Lagos
Rotimi has worked and saved for five years to study a computer science degree; a $500 gap now stands between him and graduation.
🇳🇬 Nigeria765 views
Rotimi is the first person in the family to go to university. He is studying a computer science degree at Lagos Community College, and is one term away from graduating. He has worked as a warehouse packer to pay the way, but this term the hours were cut and there's an unpaid balance of $500.
The registrar has said Rotimi can't enroll for the next term until the balance is cleared. Rotimi has a first-class average, and an academic advisor has written in support.
Graduating means a stable job and the chance to support the younger siblings. Without enrolling this term Rotimi would lose his place and scholarship eligibility.
Rotimi isn't asking for a handout - He wants to finish what He started and help the next student.
Everything raised goes to the university's accounts office toward the outstanding balance and the final term's fees.
Where the $500 goes:
• Exam and lab fees: $30
• Outstanding tuition balance: $220
• Final term tuition: $250
With deep gratitude,

so sorry you're going through this, Gbenga. Everyone deserves a bit of help sometimes. All the best.
Good luck, Gbenga. I've been in a tough spot myself and it does get easier. Take care.
Study hard! My late mom used to say help given quietly counts double. Thinking of Lagos.
