I make my living with my pickup. 12 weeks ago the rear axle failed, and the mechanic says the repair will cost $200. Without the vehicle I earn nothing. I have been borrowing from friends to pay rent, and now I have run out of people to ask. I support my 4 children. Before the breakdown I worked twelve hours a day, six days a week. I have been offered extra shifts for the next four months if I can just get the vehicle working. I have a written estimate from a certified mechanic and will upload it here. All money will go toward the parts and labor on the estimate, with a small amount for road tax and insurance renewal. Where the $200 goes: • rear axle replacement (parts): $100 • Labor charges: $35 • Road tax and insurance renewal: $25 • Towing and inspection: $40 I'll pay this kindness forward the moment I'm able to. - Roshan

Updates from Roshan

  1. Good news. Because of your gifts ($46 in total) I met with the mechanic and confirmed the amounts. Still a way to go but it feels less lonely.

  2. Small update. $36 so far, the first invoice got paid this week.

  3. We're at 5% thanks to 1 of you. I made the first payment toward road tax and insurance renewal. More news soon.
