Ronke was diagnosed with endometriosis requiring surgery in March. The surgeon at Kaduna General Hospital recommended septoplasty, and She is scheduled for June. The hospital's financial office gave us a written estimate of $1,050, and after what our health plan will pay we're still $750 short. my wife has been in and out of Kaduna General Hospital since March. The doctors say endometriosis requiring surgery will get worse without septoplasty. We have emptied our savings and borrowed from relatives, but the estimate of $1,050 is more than we can find. While we wait, Ronke struggles with daily life and can't climb stairs. Her family has taken turns caring for her, and I've cut my own work hours to be there. Recovery is expected to take about 5 weeks. During that time Ronke won't be able to climb stairs, so the costs keep growing.
